A plain-language summary of the licence that will ship with each release. The binding terms are published on the theme page itself before any purchase is possible.
Build as many client sites as your licence covers. Change anything you like. Do not resell the theme itself.
A theme licence grants the right to build and publish websites using the theme source. It is granted to one person or one organisation, and it is not transferable on its own.
The number of published projects a single licence covers is stated on the theme page. Where a licence is limited to one project, a second project needs a second licence.
Building a site for a client is permitted where the theme page says so. The finished website, including the modified theme source inside it, can be handed over to that client as part of the project.
What does not transfer is the licence itself. The client receives a website. They do not receive the right to build further sites from the theme, and neither do their other suppliers.
You may modify anything: layouts, components, tokens, copy, structure. There is no obligation to keep any part of the original design, and no attribution requirement in the page output.
Modified or not, the source remains under the same licence. Rewriting a theme does not create a new work you are free to redistribute.
Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the theme source, in whole or in substantial part, is not permitted. Neither is publishing it to a public repository, packaging it into another template or product, or offering it as part of a site-builder library.
Using the theme to produce websites for others is the intended use. Using it to produce another theme for others is not.
Demo images, fonts and icons shipped with a theme are covered by their own licences, which are listed with each release. Some demo assets are licensed for preview only and are not cleared for production use.
Where an asset cannot be redistributed, the theme ships a placeholder and the release notes say what it stands in for.
Because a theme is delivered as source, a download is effectively a permanent transfer. The refund policy for each release is published before purchase, alongside the deadline and the conditions that apply.
If a theme does not do what its page says it does, that is a defect and it will be handled as one.
